Anyone who has a sibling has been through this at one point in their childhood.
Siblings are a bit like relationships can't live with them, can't live without them.
When you were young you used to play together, but would fight as soon as it came to sharing food or toys.
When you were in the teens you would be able to talk more about things and understood each other a bit more, but would fight over whether you did the same amount of chores, who got to sit in the front seat, or how much money you both were given for going out and allowances.
There is always some form of rivalry between siblings and at this stage, my brother and I don't fight as much as we used to, now we understand each other more and actually trust each other.
Since my brother was always the more "rebellious one" and I am more a "good girl", we have had our struggles. But I feel like the older we get, the more we rely on each other to help each other out and deal with situations, since we have grown up in the same household and gone through many similar situations and scenarios. I could not imagine being a single child.
I'm sure there would be certain benefits, but I love having an older brother; who has always been there for me,looked out for me, and taken care of me whenever I needed him to.
